Notices to mobile applications

You can send notifications to all Event attendees from the Tools > Notices to mobile applications menu.

All attendees who have the Symposium app installed will receive the message almost instantly, so this tool should be used with caution.

This tool naturally has multi-language support. You can choose in which languages the notification will be sent and in which it will not. The question here is what to do with attendees who do not have their app configured in any of the languages you have selected as targets. For this there is a drop-down list with several options to choose from:

• Do not send the notification to users who do not speak the selected languages: this is useful to prevent users from receiving a notification they will probably not understand because it is in another language. For example, if you send a notification only in Spanish, this option will prevent users whose language is Portuguese from receiving it.
• Send the notification to users who do not speak the selected languages in one of them: this means you can choose one language as the “generic” one for users who do not speak any of the ones you have selected. For example, you can send an announcement in Spanish, Catalan and English, making the English version the one sent to all users who do not speak Catalan or Spanish.
